The Journey

Your journey begins in Carey Park at the end of Redman Dr. behind Stremel ball diamonds. Our shuttle will take you to the launch and you will float from 4th street to Carey Park where your vehicle waits. Arkanoe provides everything you need for a safe and enjoyable kayak, canoe or tube experience - including paddles, life vests, boats and shuttle. You should bring water, sunscreen, bug spray, appropriate foot wear and a hat to protect against the elements. The Arkanoe shuttle runs on the hour so you should arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled float. Each participant must sign a waiver and fill out the rental agreement prior to engaging in any activities provided by Arkanoe. All persons under 18 years of age will require signature of parent or gaurdian.

The Arkansas River

The Arkansas River in Hutchinson, Kansas is your best destination for outdoor activities. Abundant wild life and natural surroundings will make your outing a memorable experience. A sandy bottom and a lot of sand bars make for great sunbathing, swimming and picnics. Conditions vary and floaters should be aware of their abilities, experience, weather and water conditions. Arkanoe floats rain or shine. In the event of impending severe weather, your float will be re-scheduled for the earliest possible date.

The Arkansas River is a public waterway. We ask that you do your part to maintain its scenic beauty by packing out what you pack in - and then some.
